PARTICIPATION
 

According to the Rules for the Organization of Events issued by Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera FIDAL, athletes who are 18 years old on or before the date of the event may participate.
 

REGISTRATION
 

By the bylaws issued by FIDAL participants must be at least 20 year old on February 19, 2012
and being part in one of the following categories:

1. membership card holders for the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL)
2. membership card holders for a foreign Athletics Federation affiliated to the IAAF
3. membership card holders for an Italian Sport Promotion Authority recognised by FIDAL
4. Non member of above defined organization: participants must have a medical license signed by a physician certifying that they are fit to participate in an athletics competition. The medical license must have been issued later than October 8, 2011.

In case 4) - according to the FIDAL rules - athletes have to pay an additional 7,00 euro fee to get the "daily license for road races participation” which includes insurance for the day of the race.

Registration will be deemed valid only after receipt of the completed form and copy of the receipt of payment.

If not previously submitted, the FIDAL/IAAF membership card or copy of the medical certificate and/or day card must be shown on collection of the tech bag.

REGISTRATION FEES

The registration fee includes the following services:

• race bib;
• insurance;
• medical assistance;
• parking of one’s vehicle in the Stdio Bentegodi car park;
• transport for the participants and their families from the Stadium to Piazza Brà and back;
• race pack;
• refreshments in the departure zone;
• refreshments and spongings along the route;
• closing refreshment at the finish;
• shower service at the end of the event at the Palasport di Verona;
• official program and other informative materials;
• timing service;
• rental of the chip to reveal race time;
• official participation medal (for those athletes who classify at the finish line);
• transportation and storage of personal clothing service from the departure to the finish (with a proper “container bag”);
• transport service to the finish of those athletes who withdraw along the route.

TIME LIMIT

The time limit to finish the race is set at 3 hours.

TECH BAG AND RACE PACK COLLECTION

The tech bag containing the bib, chip, and the race pack can be collected:

• Saturday 18th February 2012 from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. from Palazzetto dello Sport di Verona;
• Sunday 19th February 2012 from 7.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. from Palazzetto dello Sport di Verona.

Collection may also take place by proxy upon presentation of the enrolment form together with all the documents requested in it.
 

SHUTTLE SERVICE

A shuttle service will be operating from the Stadio Bentegodi (Departure Zone) to Piazza Brà (Finish Zone) for those athletes and their family members on a continuous basis from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
 

PERSONAL CLOTHING STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

Competitors may hand in their personal clothing to lorries for this purpose, situated in the departure zone at Palazzetto dello Sport di Verona, by 9.45 a.m. and collect it at the finish zone at the end of the race. The organization accepts no responsibility for loss of valuables.

AWARDS

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, 19th February 2012 at 12.30 in the finish zone. The first ten men and women to be classified will be awarded.
The first 3 to classify as Masters according to FIDAL categories will also receive awards.
The awards for the Masters may be collected after 1.00 p.m. from the expo Giulietta&Romeo Half Marathon from Palazzetto dello Sport di Verona.
Please Note: awards not given will not be sent home nor will any notification be given, either written or verbal, to the winners in case of non-collection.

All those who classify can, from 20th February 2012, download and print their own participation certificate on the web site www.giuliettaeromeohalfmarathon.it

The Organization reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time in order to ensure a better organization of the race.
