The winner of the 5th edition of Giulietta&Romeo Half Marathon is Kipyeko with a winning time of 1h02’37’’ followed by Ndiwa, 1h02’50’’ then by the Italian champion Ruggero Pertile, 1h04’38’’, Giovanni Gualdi, 1h05’49’’; Roman Weger, and then Tahari Mohamed Raphael, 1h09’02’’.
Ruggero Pertile, Giovanni Gualdi and Roman Weger was awarded by Brooks Italia and a special guest was Mr. Pennacchioni’s wife, in memory of his hausband.
A very special runner is Lorenzo Lo Preiato, whose “special” heart is strengthen by “6 bypass”: do you know is running time? 2h00’57’’. The real winner indeed of the race.
Kipyeko, Ndiwa and Ruggero Pertile was awarded by the Mayor, Flavio Tosi.
Women: first one was Emily Perpetua Chepkorir, 1h13’24’’, followed by the Italian Martina Dogana, 1h21’03’’ and the Fancy Jerop, 1h21’25’’; the 4th Italian was Silvia Moreni, 1h21’44’’ and then Aleksandra Fortin, 1h21’49’’.
Emily, Martina and Fancy was awarded by Federico Sboarina, Assessor of Sportlife and Environment.
The first three Italian women were awarded by Anna Leso, Chairman of Acque Veronesi.
More than 4.864 runners, 1.000 of which coming from Verona, whereas all the other ones coming from 80 Italian cities and 26 foreign countries with 250 foreigners. Women were 1.000, a very great number!
We remind you to the Gardaland Half Marathon, in May, 6t, but, above all to the VeronaMarathon in October, 7th.
