The 5th edition of the Giulietta&Romeo Half Marathon, which has been linked to the events organized within the project "Verona in Love" since always, will take place this year during the Carnival which boasts a centuries-old tradition in Verona.
This year's novelty: the half marathon will set off independently and will draw all the athletes towards a single goal of 21 km. The course follows a direct and level route from a competitive standpoint, and has always comprised part of the road network of Verona's city centre, a UNESCO world heritage.

VeronaMarathonEventi and Brooks, worldwide leader in running shoes, wearing and accessories, signed a sponsorship agreement for the three events which will take place in Verona. The first one, Giulietta&Romeo Half Marathon, in February19th, the Gardaland Half Marathon, in May, 6th and the Marathon, in Ocotber,7th with final arrival inside the “Arena”.

Kipyeko is the winner of the 5th edition of Giulietta&Romeo Half Marathon
The winner of the 5th edition of Giulietta&Romeo Half Marathon is Kipyeko with a winning time of 1h02’37’’ followed by Ndiwa, 1h02’50’’ then by the Italian champion Ruggero Pertile, 1h04’38’’, Giovanni Gualdi, 1h05’49’’; Roman Weger, and then Tahari Mohamed Raphael, 1h09’02’’.
Ruggero Pertile, Giovanni Gualdi and Roman Weger was awarded by Brooks Italia and a special guest was Mr. Pennacchioni’s wife, in memory of his hausband.
